Summary:Records of father and son business partners Prince S. Crowell (1813-1881) and A.F. (Azariah Foster) Crowell (1846-1918) who were co-owners of the Pacific Guano Company, with offices in Boston and plants at Woods Hole, Massachusetts and Charleston, South Carolina. The company manufactured fertilizer from guano obtained from Pacific and Caribbean islands. Also included are records of various fishing businesses in the Woods Hole, Massachusetts area with which the Crowells were also associated. Materials include letter books and other correspondence, account books, trade catalogs, photographs, and other papers. Fishing interests represented include Mitchell Fish Company, Boston, Massachusetts, Isaiah Spindel and Company, Trap Fishermen's Association, and the Woods Hole Weir
