Pp. 55-82, "Le conflit israélo-palestinien enlisé, la faute à qui?", analyze the stand-still in Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations since 2000. Adler and Goldnadel both blame the Palestinians and denounce European indulgence with Arab anti-Zionism and antisemitism. Pp. 97-132, "La France est-elle un pays raciste, antisémite?", discuss the surge of antisemitism in France since 2000. The interlocutors agree that the French government and media downplayed the seriousness of attacks against the Jews after the second Intifada. Goldnadel argues that this was due to unpreparedness among intellectuals to face extreme left-wing and Muslim antisemitism and that French society has now triumphed over its antisemitic demons. French Muslims are more moderate than those of Britain, the center of European antisemitism today. Adler, on the other hand, deplores the scope of antisemitism under the guise of anti-Zionism and contends that Jews who associate themselves with Israel are barred from careers in the pro-Arab French foreign office. Pp. 229-253, "Parle-t-on trop de la Shoah?", deal with the mediatization of the Shoah and the competition for the status of victim. In Adler's view, the Jews keep talking about the Shoah because the non-Jews still do not want to hear about it. Goldnadel, on the other hand, argues that the non-Jewish world is dangerously fascinated by the Shoah. Non-Jews have appropriated it for themselves and turned it against the Jews.
