520 |a Account of the siege of the town of Bois-le-Duc (Bolduc) in Brabant of May 1629  |b The town, which had remained Catholic and under the control of Spain, was reputed to be able to withstand any attacks, having the ability to flood the approaches of any hostile forces. Nevertheless, it fell to Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange (1584-1647) and his force of 30,000 men. The siege began on 27 May 1629, and the town capitulated four months later on 14 September 1629.
